Mary LUNDY

LUNDY Mary Cecilia "Molly" Lundy (nee Brady) passed away at the Red Deer Nursing Home on October 12, 2007 at the age of 97 years. Molly was born in Belfast, Ireland on October 21, 1909 to Edward and Margaret Brady. She was educated at the Convent of Mercy in Lurgan, Ireland. The family immigrated to Canada in 1935 and settled in Montreal. Molly worked in the Insurance Industry in Montreal for thirty years; she was a very astute business woman. Molly came to Red Deer in the mid eighties. She was very devoted to the Catholic Church. Her family and her faith were the most important things to her. She was involved in the community doing volunteer work with the Red Deer Museum and the hospital, and she was Silver Cross Mother at the Legion for many years. Molly was musically talented and played piano with the Golden Circle Group. Molly will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She will be lovingly remembered by two sons; James Patrick (Nasim) Lundy Jr. and George Lundy both of Red Deer, five grandchildren; Lynn Lundy, Colleen Lundy, Kathleen Lundy, George Lundy and James Lundy and four great grandchildren; Kelsey Lessard, Jason Lessard, Darcy Arter and Kevin Arter. Molly was predeceased by her husband, James Patrick Lundy Sr. and her daughter-in-law, Pauline Lundy. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (5508 - 48A Ave) on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Michael Tonner Celebrant.
