PROCTOR SHIRLEY JEAN MARY Sept. 17, 1929 - Aug. 6, 2005 It is with deep sadness the family of Shirley Proctor announces her passing at Red Deer Regional Hospital. She is survived by Milt, her loving and devoted husband of fifty-four years. Her close-knit family includes her four daughters and their husbands Bonnie and Rick Hollingsworth, Verla and Ray McLean, Trudy and Allan Hiebert, Patti and Jeff Parker, all of Red Deer. Shirley adored her seven grandchildren and took great interest in their various activities. Jeff (Crystal) Zinken, Jennifer (Dave) Jackson, Gina Page, Tara and Hayley Hiebert, Brodie and Alexa Parker. Her three great grandchildren never failed to amaze and delight her - Alyssa Jackson, Abby and Brooke Zinken. Shirley spent her entire life in Alberta, the early years in Alix, then moving to Edmonton, Sylvan Lake and Red Deer. She will be lovingly remembered as a dedicated and caring wife, mother, sister and grandmother, as well as a loyal friend to many. Her favorite memories include family events, camping, gardening, baking, playing tile rummy, spending time at Gull Lake, enjoying the outdoors and her flower beds. She fondly recalled coffee parties with the gals in Edmonton and years of Friday nights in the company of dear friends Jack and Verna McWade. Shirley's three brothers and their wives also mourn her passing. Ken and Inga Smith of Stettler, Sid and Pearl Smith of Vegreville, Neil and Leona Smith of New Zealand, many family members and friends. She was pre- deceased by two brothers, Claude and Adrian. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross, 3030 - 55 St. Red Deer. T4N 2H2.
