McCRADY, McCRADY

Joseph "Ray" McCrady of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on June 30, 2004 at the age of 78 years. Ray was born in Drumheller. He worked in various places throughout Alberta during his 37 years of employment with Alpha Milk Co. Ray loved anything to do with music, especially singing and square dancing. Ray will be remembered for his sense of humour, and his great dedication to everything he did, work or play. Ray will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jean of 51 years, one son Gary (Jan) McCrady of Brooks, two daughters; Laurie (Tony) Chomistek of Medicine Hat, Debora Claeys of Vauxhall, and seven grandchildren; Joe Claeys of Grand Prairie, Erin Chomistek of Calgary, Lana Claeys of Brooks, Robert McCrady of Brooks, Craig Chomistek of Lethbridge, Allison Claeys of Vauxhall, and Vivian Claeys of Vauxhall. Ray was predeceased by his father, Homer John McCrady, his mother, Rena Mary McCrady, three brothers, Herb, Wilbur, Bill, and two sisters; Fern Rounds and Ruth Ives. A Memorial service will be held at the Deer Park Alliance Church (2960 - 39 Street) on Saturday, July 3, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. Memorial tributes may be made in Joseph's honour to the Canadian Cancer Society (4730A Ross Street, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 1X2).
