MCKAY (LALIBERTE), Mrs. Rachel Margaret ‘Adelia’ McKay of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at the Valley Park Manor on Friday, February 25, 2005 at the age of 97 years. Adelia was born on July 2, 1907 at Enaville, Idaho, United States. She moved to Consort, Alberta at the age of seven years, where she received all her schooling. Adelia loved training horses and going on trail rides. She was also a very artistic woman and enjoyed oil painting and woodworking. Adelia was a delightful lady who will be very sadly missed but forever remembered and cherished in the hearts of her family and dear friends. Adelia leaves to mourn her loss, her son, Albert (Carol) McKay and her daughter, Margaret Miller, both of Red Deer, five grandchildren; Judy (Rob) Hunter, Larry (Kim) McKay, Sharon Morrow and Debra and Tara Storey, seven great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and eight step children, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Adelia was predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Georgiana Canning, her husband, Isaac McKay in 1958, husband, Paul Laliberte in 2003, two brothers, James and Judson, one sister, Elizebeth, son-in-law, Harold Storey in 1982 and son-in-law, Bill Miller in 1990. A Celebration of Adelia’s Life will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapels, 4820 – 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. with Leanne V. Hall officiating. Cremation was entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. Interment will be held at the Alto-Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta.
