BITZ Melvin William Melvin passed away peacefully on April 2, 2006 at the age of 82 years young. Melvin was born in Liepzig, Sask. to Stephen and Bertha Bitz. Melvin was the third oldest of eight children. Melvin leaves to mourn three daughters. Linda (Jim) Knight, Alberta (Art) Fizer, and Delphine (Art) Nielsen. Nine grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Three sisters Terry (Leon) Gieslman, Shirley (Alli) Muglich, Gene (Frank) Lerigny. One brother Tim Bitz. Melvin was predeceased by his parents Stephen & Bertha, wife Lila, daughter Melissa, two brothers Edgar and Leo, one sister Elizabeth, one grandson Loomis Fizer, 2 great grandsons Harley Neufeld and Dwight Henderson. A family grave side at Blackfalds Cemetery Saturday, April 29 at 1 p.m. Memorial will be held in Celebration of Melvin's Life on April 29, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Royal Canadian Legion Branch #35, 2810 Bremner Avenue, Red Deer.
