LENTZ, Merle Lentz of Sylvan Lake passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at the age of 52 years. He was born in Wetaskiwin, Alberta on August 16, 1953. Merle is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Wendy; his three children Richard (Trina) Lentz of Sylvan Lake, Tammy (Chris Fehr) of Fort St. John, B.C., and Mandy Lentz of Quesnel, B.C.; six grandchildren Micheal, Brittany, Justice, Korbyn, Kaden and Keir. His parents Fred and Martha Lentz of Innisfail, AB, sister Carol (Dwayne) Innis of Calgary; brothers Arnold (Margret) Lentz of Devon and Marvin (Shirley) Lentz of Innisfail; as well as numerous nieces and nephews also survive Merle. The family wishes to express many thanks to all the wonderful doctors and staff at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary. The Funeral Service for the late Merle Lentz will be held at the Gospel Chapel, Sylvan Lake on Friday, April 21, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Peter Nash officiating. Interment will follow in the Sylvan Lake Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
