KOBER Mrs Violet Kober of Trochu, Alberta passed away at St. Mary's Health Care Centre, Trochu, on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at the age of 83 years. Violet was born in Grossliebenthal, Russia on February 6, 1922. She came to Canada with her parents Ernst and Luise Riep and brother Edgar in 1929 and the family settled on a farm east of Trochu where she attended Greenleaf School. Violet married Adolf Kober on December 5, 1940, and farmed east of Trochu until retirement. Violet is survived by her family: Rob and wife Phyllis of Red Deer and children Rob Jr. and wife Tonya along with great grandchildren Joshua, Jordan and Chloe of Pentiction; and Krista Eisenhawer and husband David along with great grandchildren Emily, Kate and Abbie of Red Deer. Rick and wife Muriel of Trochu and children Scott, and Kelly Reichel and husband Conrad all of Calgary. Carol Chrapko and husband Richard of Edmonton and children Anita Reinhardt and husband Rick of St. Albert, Christine and Ryan of Edmonton. Elton and wife Lila of Drayton Valley and children Holly of St. Albert, Joy and Natalie of Drayton Valley. Violet was predeceased by her husband Adolf (1988), parents Luise (1970) and Ernst Riep (1991) and her brother Edgar (1996). Funeral Services for the late Violet Kober will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, Trochu, Alberta on Thursday, February 24, 2005 at 11:00 a.m., with the Reverend Larry Lentz officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Trochu. Luncheon will follow at The Baptist Fellowship Centre.
