SCHLAHT Theodore (Ted) Schlaht of Lacombe passed away peacefully October 22, 2008 at the age of 83 years. Ted was born in Mendham, Saskatchewan in September of 1925. He enlisted in the army in 1942, serving overseas during WWII. On March 31, 1950 he married Irene Thompson in Claresholm, Alberta. Ted is survived by his wife Irene of 58 years, son Ron, daughter-in-law Janice, two special grandsons Joey and Chad, and pet dog Gizmo. Also survived by brother Sam (Ila), sister Martha Opp, brother-in-law Bob Thompson (Elaine), all of Claresholm, nieces and nephews. As per Ted's request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Apollo House Unit, c/o Centennial Centre, Box, 1000, Ponoka, Alberta T4J 1R8 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
