Patricia Petersen of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice on Sunday January 15, 2017 at the age of 64 years. Pat, a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend will be profoundly missed by her mother Ruth James, husband James (Jim) Petersen, son Joseph Petersen, daughter-in-law Katherine Petersen, grand-daughters Emily, Lena and Natalie, her brother and sister in-law Randall and Arlene James and their children Lindsay and Colin, as well as those to whom she was close. Patricia was predeceased by her son James (Jamie) Petersen and her father Alban James. Spending over two decades working for the Red Deer lab, Patricia made fast friends with her colleagues and stories of her time there are well known amongst her friends and family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA and the Kidney Foundation. A service will be held at First Church of the Nazarene, 2 McVicar Street, Red Deer, on Friday January 20 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Dale Fallon officiating.
