MCMASTER Pauline Pauline (Schappy) McMaster of Red Deer passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at the age of 63 years. She will be lovingly remembered for her love of family and her wonderful smile. Pauline leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband of 42 years, Mickey McMaster of Red Deer; her son Sean McMaster (Tamara West) and their children Nigel, Jarrod and Brook of Beaumont, Alberta; her daughter Heather McMaster (Pierre-Georges Roy) and their children Thibaud and Julien of New York, New York; her daugher Melanie McMaster (Andrew Kearns) and their children Sawyer and Wyatt of Calgary, Alberta; her brothers Robert Schappy and Peter Schappy; her brother Victor and sister-in-law Sharon Schappy; and her sister Louise and brother-in-law Fred Zucker. She also leaves to cherish her memory many wonderful sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her mother Jeannette Schappy on July 16, 2003 and her father Francis Schappy on February 20, 1970. Pauline was born on July 5, 1944 in Edmonton, Alberta and spent her childhood years in the Strathcona area. She married Mickey McMaster on July 3, 1965 and together they had three children. In 1986, the McMaster family moved to Red Deer. Throughout her lifetime, Pauline loved reading, baking, creative writing classes and a myriad of crafts. Her family was very proud when Pauline received her Diploma of Social Work from Red Deer College in 1995. Pauline satisfied her quest for adventure by travelling with her family throughout Canada, the United States, Mexico and Costa Rica. She also hosted many exchange students and took great pleasure in showing each student the beauty of Western Canada. She was an active volunteer and particularly enjoyed her experiences teaching ESL. Pauline will be greatly missed by those who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 10, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Parish, 6 McMillan Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta. Interment will follow at the Alto-Reste Memorial Gardens. A luncheon reception will be held at St. Mary's Parish following the interment. In lieu of floral tributes, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, 5017 - 50th Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 4B2 in memory of Pauline McMaster.
