RAYMOND, Percy Harold Raymond went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at the age of 90 at McKinney Place, Oliver, B.C. Survived by his loving family, wife of 65 years, Edna of Penticton; daughters, Linda (Frede) Poulsen of Westbank, Elaine (Lyle) Gabrielson of Fort McMurray, Alberta and Nancy (Ron) Eby of Red Deer, Alberta; 6 grandchildren, Sherry (Glen) Borsheim, Darren (Spring) Poulsen, Brent Gabrielson, Randy (Martyna) Gabrielson, Michelle (Brad) Prather and Chad (Kristi) Eby; four great grandchildren, Saira and Damon Poulsen, Mckenna and Grayson Prather; step great-grandchildren, Braedyn, Aaron and Coleton Morgan and Zachary Taylor and their mother Jai-Lee; sister-in-laws, Vie and Betty Elkin as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Gordon and Clifford and sisters, Mildred and Mae. Percy was born and raised in Delburne, Alberta. He graduated from Prairie Bible Institute. During the war he worked in Nordegg Alberta and then returned to the Red Deer area and farmed, worked as a groundskeeper and in real estate. He was Canadian President of Mission Steers for a number of years. Retiring to Penticton in 1979 he became an avid golfer. He and Edna worked at Mystery Village Tourist Attraction in Okanagan Falls for a few years. Percy was very active in the Alliance Church in Red Deer and Penticton. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, May 6, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. at the Penticton Alliance Church, 197 Brandon Avenue, Penticton.
