DOUGLAS, (Philip) Phil Mr. Phil Douglas of Lacombe passed away in the Red Deer Hospice on Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at the age of 57 after suffering a stroke on May 20, 2006. Phil was born in Dundee, Scotland on December 6, 1948. He came to Canada in 1960 with his parents and four siblings. Phil is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Laurel of Lacombe, their sons and spouses; Craig & Lori, Scott & Angela, his sisters; Sandra (Dave) McNeil, Ann (Ed) Sommerfeld, his brother; Iain (Fay) Douglas, four nephews, two neices, & one great nephew; Andrew Sommerfeld, Douglas McNeil, Jenny (Dave) & Davy Dunphy, Lindsay McNeil, Christopher (Ayako) Douglas & Jeffrey Douglas; parents-in-law Earl & Marion Stenson, sister- in-law & her spouse Valerie Stenson & Floyd Berry; as well as numerous cousins in Scotland and England. Phil was predeceased by his parents Jean (1991), Bill (1995), & Brother Big Bill (1998). A memorial service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 4718 Ross Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, July 7, 2006. at 2:00 P.M.
