GORUK, Philip Philip Goruk of Red Deer, Alberta passed away at the age of 68 years with his wife by his side on June 28, 2004 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Center after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Phil was born on March 24, 1936 in Bellis, Alberta. He was married on September 28, 1963 to his wife for 40 years. He leaves to mourn his loss; his wife Martha, his son Gary and his wife Susanne and their 2 sons Carter and Nathan of Fort Saskatchewan, AB; his daughter Sandra and her husband Dieter and their 2 children Aidan and Emma of Devon, AB; 6 brothers, John Goruk (Bellis, AB), Metro (Nancy Goruk) (Edmonton, AB), Peter Goruk (Edmonton), George (Kay) Goruk (Red Deer, AB), Andy (Nancy) Goruk (Red Deer,AB) Nick (Doreen) Goruk (Kelowna, BC) and 1 sister Mary (Larry) Larson (Victoria, BC). Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his darling daughter Barbara Lee; his parents William and Jenny Goruk, 2 Sister-in-Laws, Lucy and Mary Goruk and 1 Brother-in-Law, Henry Martyniuk. Prayer Service will be held on Friday, July 2, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 3, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home, 6150-67 Street, Red Deer, AB with Ukrainian Orthodox Father Patrick Yamniuk officiation.
