PILGER, 1962- 2007 Karen Pilger, beloved wife of Murray Pilger of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, lovingly surrounded by family, after a brave struggle with a lengthy illness, on Monday, November 5, 2007, at the age of 45 years. Karen was born on March 19, 1962 at Edmonton, Alberta. She is survived by her husband, Murray Pilger, a daughter, Angela (Nate) and their daughter, Dayla, a son, Shawn all of Red Deer, her mother, Arlene Hay of Camrose, Alberta, a brother, Bruce (Judy) Hay of Wetaskiwin, Alberta, two sisters, Bette (Laurence) Wilson, Sharon (Grant) Taylor both of Edmonton, Alberta, mother-in-law, Joyce Elliot of Spruce Grove, Alberta, brothers and sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Mike) Kouwenhoven, Dale (Annette) Pilger, Kevin (Shauna) Pilger all of Edmonton, Alberta, Trevor (Jacqui) Thompson of Spruce Grove, Alberta and numerous nieces and nephews. Karen was predeceased by her father, Gordon Hay, fathers-in-law, George Elliot and Lorne Thompson. A Celebration of Karen's Life will be held at the CrossRoads Church, 32 Street and Queen Elizabeth II Highway, Red Deer, on Friday, November 9, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to Central Alberta Crematorium.
