PILLING Mary-Lou (nee Floyde) 1945 – 2007 Mary-Lou Pilling (nee Floyde) much loved mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on Friday, February 23, 2007. She will always be lovingly remembered for her generous spirit and her love of family. Her energy and determination were inspiring. Spending time with family gave her much joy. Mary-Lou was a fabulous cook and family dinners were a time of celebration. Family birthday parties were planned with much love and left all feeling special! Her personal strength, ability to support others and her strong organization skills enabled her to be the foundation of her family. We will forever be grateful for her! Mary-Lou was recently introduced to the joys of RV’ing. She and Bob were able to travel extensively generating many wonderful memories! They enjoyed spending time in Kelowna, BC and welcomed family and friends to share in their memories. Throughout her life she loved music! In her childhood she was a beautiful singer and pianist. She continued to love music and watching American Idol and game shows was one of her guilty pleasures! Mary-Lou was born in Brandon, Manitoba and spent her early years in Killarney, Manitoba. She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She began her career in Brandon, and then moved to Yellowknife, NWT and worked as an emergency nurse. From there she moved to Red Deer, Alberta and worked as a Nursing Instructor at Red Deer College. Finally, she moved to Calgary, Alberta where she completed her career by working with the nursing accreditation team. Mary-Lou will be cherished and remembered by her loving husband, Bob, her children, Laurel, Brad and Dean, her grandchildren, Jericho, Tesla, McKinley, Brendan, Ty and Ryley. Her sister, Myrna, her brothers Rollie (Gloria) and Lanny (Lynn). Her extended family, Michael, Amy, Alex, Melissa as well as many other relatives and good friends.
