PIPER Mr. Stuart Lloyd Piper of Markerville passed away at Friday, July 13, 2007 at the age of 49 years. Stuart was born on May 25, 1958 in Portland Oregon and spent his early years in Clackamas County. He came to Canada and met the love of his life Lori Lewis in 1981 and then became a Canadian citizen in 1982. He started his career in the Alberta oilfield in 1982 and continued perfecting his career as a wireline technician until his passing. In 1986 Stuart married Lori. His little "fishing buddy" Shane was born in 1986 and his "little angel Kaley bird" was born in 1988. Stuart and Lori purchased their little piece of heaven in Tindastoll in May of 1996. Stuart loved the great outdoors everything from hunting, fishing, camping and boating, to flying kites and growing tomatoes and peppers. His greatest love of all was spinning Stu Stories around the campfire with his great family and friends. Special times were set aside for his Oregon family which Stuart always looked forward to. He eagerly awaited seeing his folk’s big motorhome make its way down the laneway. Stuart was a friend to everyone, whether 2, 22, or 92… he took time for everyone he met. He made sure all of the young people who came into his life through his children had a safe place to go, a second home if they needed it. He even has a special place in his heart for his many pets over the years and many a stray would become Stuart's favored four-legged companion. Stuart lived his life on his own terms and he lived it large. He has left this earth with no regrets. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Lori of Markerville, son, Shane of Markerville, daughter, Kaley of Markerville, father and mother, Lloyd and Fern Piper of Portland Oregon, sisters, Kathy Erickson of Wilsonville, Oregon, Linda Kramer of Sprague River, Oregon and Wendy Egly of Yacolt, Washington, and numerous nieces and nephews; Also survived by mother-in-law, Bernese Lewis of Innisfail and the Lewis clan too numerous to mention and the Johanson families of the Burnt Lake Area. He is also survived by many Canadian cousins and friends, all his working buddies, friends from the Pine Hill Hutterite Colony and all those "crazy kids" of Spruce View who called him "Stuey". He was predeceased by his father-in law; Bob Lewis. If friends so desire memorial tributes may be made to the Spruce View School Sports Program or to the Charity of one’s choice.
