RACHAR Mr. Melvin "Mel" W. Rachar of Rimbey, Alberta passed away at the University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at the age of 62 years. Mel will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife, Anna Mae; his son, Kevin (Theresa) Rachar of Slave Lake, and their children, Chris, Jesse and Kolbie; and his daughter, Kim (Kurt) Hartman of Rimbey, and their children, Kristen, Zoë and Johnnie. He will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his two brothers, David (Evelyn) Rachar of Stettler; and Lloyd (Helen) Rachar of Rocky Mountain House; and his six sisters, Marion Holte of Ponoka; Ruth (Dewie) Marshall of Nevis, Alberta; Grace (Wayne) Green of Wainwright; Betty (Ron) Kessler of Coronach, Saskatch- ewan; Judy (Ed) Beierbach of Kavanagh, Alberta; and Audrey (Steve) Broderson of Beaumont, Alberta; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mel was predeceased by his parents, George and Laura Rachar; his brother, Charles Rachar; and three sisters, Evelyn Rachar, Donna Olson, and Dorothy Boyce. Relatives and Friends were invited to a Public Visitation which was held at the Rimbey Church of the Nazarene, Rimbey on Sunday, June 10, 2007 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Public Interment Service was held at the Lakeview Cemetery, Fenn, Alberta on Monday, June 11, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. A Public Funeral Service in Celebration of Mel's Life followed at the Rimbey Community Centre, Rimbey on Monday, June 11, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend David MacMillan officiating.
