Ralph JARVIS

JARVIS Ralph Marvin Jarvis of Red Deer, beloved husband of 53 years to Ernestine, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at the age of 72 years. Ralph was born on a farm near Eckville. He was the second youngest child and he grew up enjoying farming and any involvement with horses; cutting, chuck-wagon racing and horse racing. Ralph and Ernie farmed in the Happy Hill Community for twenty-two years and within those years he was a founding member of the Happy Hill Horse 4H Club. After retiring Ralph and Ernie moved to an acreage near Red Deer, in the winter months they looked forward to their stay in Yuma, Arizona where they enjoyed dune-buggies, off roading, dancing and socializing with their friends. Ralph cherished the time he spent with his family and friends who were so special to him. Ralph will lovingly be remembered by his wife, Ernestine, his son, Randy (Carol) Jarvis of Eckville his four daughters; Julie (Allen) Trites of Red Deer, Deb Jarvis of Calgary, Brenda (Roy) Harkema of Sylvan Lake and Sandra (Chris) Wyntjes of Sylvan Lake. He will be forever missed by eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, one brother, Art (Joanne) Jarvis of Red Deer and one sister, Nellie (Kay) Watson of Eckville, one brother-in-law, Doug Kneale of Sunshine Coast, British Columbia, one sister-in-law, Audrey McCabe of Red Deer and numerous nieces and nephews. Ralph was predeceased by his parents, Les and Faye Jarvis, his brother, Bernard and one sister, Audrey Kneale. Ralph was a patient at Bethany Collegeside during his struggle with Parkinson's Disease. Thank you to the caring staff during his time there. Also, thanks for the exceptional care and kindness by Doctors and Nurses at the Red Deer Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit 32 as well as the prayers received from all.
