Ramona LINDWALL

September 13, 2004

LINDWALL, Ramona Ramona Lindwall of Red Deer passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Nursing Home on Friday, September 10, 2004, where she had previously worked for ten years as a dietary assistant. Mona was born in Warner, Alberta 75 years ago. Before moving to Red Deer in 1969, Mona and her husband, Calvin, spent more than twenty memorable and rewarding years on their dryland wheatland farm near Wrentham (60 km Southeast of Lethbridge). She was an active volunteer in many community activities in Wrentham, including a Cub Master for many years. Mona will be remembered for her love to host family and friends for holiday festivities. She was always happiest and most comfortable with a house full of people and she loved the challenge of preparing memorable meals. She enjoyed many types of music and loved to dance. She played piano by ear and always amazed friends and family with her ability to play the latest hits after only hearing the songs once or twice on the radio. She loved animals and always had a cat or dog in the house, most recently her beloved Ceasar. She also loved to read novels about politicians and the Royal Family. Mona will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Calvin, two sons; Calvin Wayne (Karen) Lindwall of Ottawa and Bernie (Cindy) Lindwall of Nanaimo, one daughter, Peggy Wynia (Dick) of Abbottsford, one sister, Florence Elliott of Lethbridge and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers; Stacey (Yvonne) Storfie and Homer Storfie and one sister, Jenny Low. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 - 67 Street) on Monday, September 13, 2004 between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 - 67 Street) on Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Red Deer S.P.C.A. (address). The family would like to thank the Red deer Nursing Home for making Mona's final days as comfortable as possible. Our best goes out to Phil, her friend of many years. E-mail condolences can be sent to condolences@reddeerfuneralhome.com and will be forwarded directly to the family.
