CODE REAY K. CODE, CD, MAJ. RCA (ret.) Reay Code, aged 88, a long time resident of Red Deer who retired in Ponoka, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2006 under the excellent and loving care of the Ponoka Hospital Extended Care Unit, where he had been a resident for more than 11 years. The family extends much thanks to Dr. Brendan Bunting, and all the wonderful staff of the Auxiliary Hospital. Reay is survived by his three children: Ken (Judy) Code of Edmonton; Corinne (Clarence) Edstrom of Skelton Lake; Susan Kreil of Ponoka; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and fond nephews and nieces from Red Deer and now living across Canada. Predeceased by Colleen, his loving wife of 50 years, the family will now inter Mom and Dad together at a later date. We also thank the Ponoka Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, and the Department of Veterans Affairs for their many kindnesses over the years.
