REID, 1938 - 2006 Mr. Donald "Don" Reid of Blackfalds, Alberta, passed away suddenly as a result of a heart attack at Stettler, Alberta on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at the age of 68 years. Don was born on September 28, 1938 at Stettler, Alberta. He was raised in the Stettler area and received his schooling at Gadsby, Alberta. Don was a fine gentleman who liked to ride horses and race Pony Chariots. He also enjoyed farming and as well as driving truck for thirty years. For the past fifteen years, Don lived and worked in Blackfalds and spent his time helping local farmers. Don will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of his family and many friends. Don leaves to mourn his loss, his loving children, Duane and his wife, Tara-Lynn of Mayerthorpe, Alberta, son Brent and daughter, Shelley, both of Calgary, Alberta, his grand- children, Sean, Roshelle and Dillon Reid, Colton, Derrick and Ashley Reid. He will also be sadly missed by his sister, Doreen Thage of Ashern, Manitoba, brother, Robert Reid of Bentley, Alberta and sister, Ruth Hendrickson of Blackfalds, as well as many friends. Don was predeceased by his parents, Bob and Florence Reid, a brother, Jerry Reid and a twin sister, Donna Brack. A Celebration of Don's Life will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 - 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, November 10, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
