WEGNER, RICHARD Our beloved and treasured husband, father, son, brother, son-in-law, uncle and friend, Richard Craig, peacefully passed away at home on Thursday, September 9 at the young age of 47. He was so many things to so many and was truly loved. He will be missed by all who were touched by his kindness, love and affection. Richard was born in Red Deer, November 4, 1956 and lived in Red Deer, Edmonton and Windsor. He relocated back to Red Deer in 1976 where he met and married the love of his life, Judy, who will forever miss the man she married and loved for 24 years. From this wonderful union he is survived by his two magnificent children, Jamie and Lindsay (Kevin). His parents, Art and Hope Wegner of Red Deer, who were so special to him and he loved them so deeply. His sister, Patty and husband John Andrew and their children Haley and Ian of Tillsonburg, Ont., were always special in his heart and soul. His brothers, Wayne and wife Janet and daughter Jessie, Neil and Ida and Alysha held such a special place in his life. Richard was equally loved and cherished by his loving extended family, Bill and Jane Schmidt, Jeannine, Trevor and Abby of Spruce Grove and Colin and Kath Schmidt of Sherwood Park along with Vera Dolan and Sharlene Dolan of Red Deer. Many aunts, uncles and cousins will miss him forever. He had such special friends in Larry and Lou Gunderson and Joe and Rosie Cabay but so many others that are too numerous to name. A celebration of Richard's special life will be held Wednesday, September 15 at 2:00 pm. at Unity Baptist Church, 139 Northey Avenue. Personal Alternative Funeral Services are entrusted with cremation. Everyone is welcome to attend a luncheon in the Church following the service. Interment will follow at Alto Reste Cemetery.
