SMITH Rita On September 19, 2008, Mrs. Rita Smith of Sherwood Park passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer, at the age of 58. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Paul, her daughters, Caitlin (Rob) and Megan (Lance), her three sisters, Shirley (Gordon), Cheryl and Susan (Terry), two brothers, Gordon and David as well as numerous relatives, friends and colleagues from Grant McEwan College. An Anglican Communion service will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Church, 12116 - 102 Avenue, Edmonton, followed by a Celebration of Rita's Life at 2:45 p.m. in the Church Hall. Rita's final resting place will be at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Sherwood Park at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Rita requested donations be made to the Grant McEwan Nursing Scholarship Fund.
