CHRISTENSEN Robert Wayne It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Wayne Christensen in the early hours of July 4, 2008. Wayne was born in Three Hills February 8, 1950, raised and educated in Trochu. After high school, Wayne attended SAIT in Calgary and obtained his Steam Engineering certificate. He and Wendy were married April 17, 1971, and they lived about 2 years in the Olds area, after which he moved back to the family farm west of Trochu, where they stayed. Camping with friends and family was a great joy to him, as were his more recent travels to more far-away places. Wayne was an important part of the farming community around him, always concerned with the needs of others, and was constantly ready to offer help in any form wherever it was needed. His presence in the lives of those who have been touched by his many kindnesses and contagious smile and laughter will be sadly and greatly missed. His spirit is carried on by his wife of 37 years, Wendy (Fraser) Christensen, his children Tony, Cyndi (Rob) Kobzar (Calgary), Jocelyn (Cory) Thornton (Calgary), his grandchildren Hannah and Zachary (Cyndi & Rob), his sister Lorna (Ken) Kucy (St. Albert), and a large and loving extended family to which he was very close. He was predeceased by his parents, Bert and Muriel Christensen (Trochu). A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at 2:00.
