GAY, Robert ‘Oliver’ Gay, beloved husband of Yvonne Gay of Red Deer, passed away surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at the age of 63 years. Oliver was born on June 17, 1942 at Vulcan, Alberta, where he was raised. Oliver was a well versed man who worked in many different areas during his career. He was employed in the Farm Supply Industry with the United Farmers Of Alberta, Big Red Industries, Cidco and with Kasha Farm Supplies. He was a proud member of the Kinsmen Club of Red Deer and later joined the K40’s, where he enjoyed a circle of special friends. Oliver was also a great handyman and enjoyed woodworking, refinishing antique furniture and loved sports. Oliver will be very sadly missed but lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of his family and many dear friends. Oliver leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife of thirty-five years, Yvonne, son, Corey, daughter, Nicole and her husband, Chris Thompson, his treasured grandsons, Gabreil, Nathaniel and Evan, as well as an honourary grandson, Ben. He will also be very sadly missed by his brother, Howard (Jackie) of Calgary, his brothers and sisters-in-law, Marcel (Mona), Mavis (Lawrence), Morley (Donna), June (Rob) and special nieces and nephews. Oliver was predeceased by his parents, Cam and Lil and his mother and father-in-law, Joe and Aline Moger. A Public Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5508 – 48A Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, December 23, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
