FINNER HERBERT RUSSELL 1937 - 2006 Herb Finner of Sylvan Lake passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Monday, November 6, 2006 at the age of 69 years. Herb will be lovingly remembered by his family and dear friends. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife of 46 years Betty; his daughters Sheri and Shelly (Greg); his son Darryl (Pam) and his beloved grandchildren Jessica, Stefan, Rebecca, Nicole, Mackenzie and Megan. Herb was born in Wildwood and resided in Alberta for most of his life. He was the oldest of 11 siblings. He was predeceased by his grandparents Lillian and Gabe Finner and his brother Lawrence Henry. He worked for Halliburton for over 40 years. Herb loved hunting with his son, watching sports with his son-in-law and camping with the grandkids. Herb was a very proud member of the Sylvan Lake Lions Club. A Celebration of Life for the late Herb Finner will be held at the Alliance Church, 4404 - 47 Avenue, Sylvan Lake on Monday, November 13, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. Inurnment will follow in the Sylvan Lake Cemetery. Cremation entrusted to the Rocky Mountain Crematorium, Rocky Mountain House. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Herb's memory will be gratefully accepted at the Cancer Centre at the Red Deer Regional Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society.
