RYE Mrs. Josephine ‘Marguerite’ Rye of Red Deer, passed away and returned to God, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday, July 7, 2005 at the age of 86 years. Marguerite was born on November 13, 1918 at Blackfalds, Alberta. She was raised and lived in Central Alberta for most of her life. Marguerite was a wonderful, loving and caring woman whose family meant the world to her. She had a heart of gold and loved her family very much. Marguerite was an excellent cook and she enjoyed making delicious meals for her family and friends. She was also a very talented and creative lady who loved teaching and making handicrafts. She also enjoyed camping and caring for her flower gardens. Marguerite will be very deeply and sadly missed but lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of her family and longtime friends. Marguerite leaves to mourn her loss, her loving children, Agnes Janssen of Lacombe, Alberta, Edward (Dianne) Rye of Fox Creek, Alberta, Bill (Lorna) Rye of Edmonton, Alberta and Tami (Garry) Andersen, also of Red Deer, eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her sister, Anne-Elizabeth Proulx of Royston, British Columbia, her brother, Donald (Margaret) Thomson of Edmonton, Alberta, her sister-in-law, Carolyn (Lloyd) Brown of Rimbey, Alberta, her brother-in-law, Joe Tamisharo of Blackfalds, Alberta, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Marguerite was predeceased by her beloved husband, Arne, a brother, Edward Parks, a sister, Beverly, a granddaughter, Bernadette Janssen and a grandson, Shaun Rye. A Celebration of Marguerite’s Life will be held at the Blackfalds United Church, Blackfalds, Alberta on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. Interment will follow at the Blackfalds Cemetery, Blackfalds, Alberta.
