CHARLES-LINGREN Marjorie Elizabeth 1909 - 2008 Marjorie passed away quietly and peacefully at the Valley Park Manor, Red Deer on Friday, August 15th in her 99th year. Born in Orillia, Ontario on July 10th, 1909 she was raised in Orillia and Coldwater, ON, the 2nd child of Robert and Elizabeth Henley. During her lifetime she lived in Ontario, Michigan and Alberta. Marjorie had a zest for life, a delightful sense of humour, a friendly personality and a work ethic that would put many to shame. She was proof that hard work doesn’t hurt you. Marjorie was predeceased by her parents, only brother, Jim Henley, sister-in-law Suzie; a son, Bruce Lawson aged 3 1/2; 2 sons, Merv and Paul Charles; son-in-law, Harold Schafer, daughters-in-law, Doreen Lawson, Beth and Margaret Charles and 3 husbands. Left to treasure her memory and mourn her loss are her sons, Elmer Lawson, Orillia, ON, John Charles (Sue) Red Deer, daughters, Marion Schafer, Condor, Faith Stopsen-Cartwright, Penticton, BC; daughter-in-law, Joan Charles, Edmonton; grandchildren, Robert and David Lawson, Dennis, Gary, Sharon and Vern Schafer, Faron Stopsen, Cheryl Wood, Paul, Dale, Mark and Bruce Charles, Kathy Robson and Kevin Charles; 11 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Marjorie will be held at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 5208-53 Avenue, Rocky Mountain House on Thursday, August 21st, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery.
