She always lit up when the grandchildren or great grandchildren were around, or stories of their exploits were told to her. Her laugh and the years of laughter we shared will long ring in the ears of those who knew her and loved her. Predeceased by her husband, John Colin Dalzell in 1982; one daughter, Dixie Lou Dalzell; one grandson, Colin Patrick Dalzell; and one great grandson, Curtis George Barnes; her parents, two sisters, Elizabeth McKeage and Ada Sharp (Eric); two brothers and two sisters-in-law, George (Lois) and Jay (Jean) McKeage; and her good friend of many years, Don Carlyle. Thelma is survived by one son, Stan Dalzell (Mary) of Nanaimo, BC; two daughters, Patricia Barnes (Bill) of Orillia, Ont. and Linda May (Dave) of Lacombe; grandchildren, Anne Pearce (Jim) and Mark, Kyra and Jenna Pearce of Parksville, BC, Theresa McCabe (Kevin) of West Vancouver, BC, Darrell Barnes (Teri) and Colin Barnes, Sandra Mark (Rob) and Virginia and Krystle Mark, Barry Barnes (Sandra) and Amanda, Jacob and Timothy Barnes, Steven Barnes (Beverley), Mitchel and Kylee Barnes all of Orillia, Ont., Karen Knight (Bruce) and Jessica, Kodi and Zachary Knight of Lacombe, Stacy May (Danielle) and Kaitlin, Madison and Eric May of Edmonton and on sister-in-law, Monique McKeage of Oliver, BC. Funeral services will be held from Wilson's Funeral Chapel 6120 Highway 2A Lacombe, AB on Monday, January 10, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
