SNIDEMAN, G. Dan Snideman of Red Deer passed away at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on Sunday, April 24, 2005 at the age of 57 years. Dan was born in Calgary and lived in Cluny in his early years. The family moved to Red Deer in 1963. He worked mainly in the Industrial Supply Industry in Calgary, Edmonton, and Red Deer; working for Century Sales for 25 years. Currently employed with Alberta Industrial Metals for the last 7 years. Dan was very athletic in his youth, playing school sports, hockey and baseball into his young adulthood. He was also an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. Over the last few years, his passion was camping and quading. Dan will be lovingly remembered by his sweetheart, Linda Baumgartner, two sons; Mike Snideman of Penticton, B.C. and Johnathon Way of Edmonton. His sister, Sharon (Jim) Huse, nephew, Clinton (Kelly Green) of Ponoka, brother, Dick (Brenda) and nephews; Devon (Melissa Teuling) and Bryan of Red Deer, sister, Lil (Brad) Boulding, niece, Jamie and nephew Patrick of Red Deer. Dan was predeceased by his mother, Adina in 1997 and a nephew, Brent Huse in 1976. A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 – 67 Street) on Friday, April 29, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (#101, 5208 – 53 Avenue Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 5K2).
