Stanley LOGAN

LOGAN, Stanley Charles Logan of Sylvan Lake, Alberta passed away peacefully at the University of Alberta Hospital on March 14, 2005 at the age of 75 years. Stan will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Sherry Christensen (Bob McDonald), his son Tom (Doreen) Logan and the pride of his life, his three grandchildren, Jamie, Kevin and Benjamin. Stan is also survived by his extended family; Vivian and Ralph Toews (Calgary), Reg and Marg Kotch (Stony Plain); Marv Jones (Calgary); Sandy Reid (Edmonton); as well as many nieces and nephews. Dad was predeceased by his beloved wife, Doreen, in 1999 as well as his two brothers, Cam and Ken Logan of Calgary. Stan was born the third child of Tommy and Etta Logan of High River, Alberta on October 4, 1929. Dad began his career at the age of 19 with the CIBC bank and retired with over 40 years of service in Camrose, Alberta. Mom and Dad always thought of Sylvan Lake as their "home" and returned to spend their golden years among their friends. Dad was the Manager of the CIBC branch in Sylvan Lake in his early years and was instrumental in opening the current branch that today is the CIBC in Sylvan Lake. Dad could always be found in the community with his pals at the local coffee shops or the "Top of the Hill" golf course discussing politics or his passion, the Calgary Stampeders and Flames. He was also very active with the many senior programs within the town, especially his "senior" walks. Funeral Services for the late Stan Logan will be held at the Memorial Presbyterian Church in Sylvan Lake on Saturday March 19, 2005 at 12:00 noon. Cremation entrusted to the Rocky Mountain Crematorium.
