STEIGER August 25, 1923 - April 15, 2005 Mr. Gordon Steiger of Camrose, Alberta formerly of Red Deer, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 15, 2005 with his family by his side in St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 81 years. Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ruth, his children; Edward (Sylvia) of Devon, Veronica (Terry) Kelly of Camrose, Ruth (Marvin) Wagnar of Rolly View, Elisabeth Macdonald of Red Deer, Katherine (Dean) Wakey of Sylvan Lake, Bartlome (Chandra) of Surrey, B.C. Gordon is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews who loved him very much, his brother Alfred, and his sister Eva Wilson. Gordon was predeceased by his son Danny in 1971, and one sister. Gordon worked for Imperial Oil for 42 years. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. from The Burgar Memorial Chapel (4817-51 Avenue, Camrose) with Rev. Brian Hunter (St. Mary's Hospital Pastoral Care officiating. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to The St. Mary's Hospital CT Scanner Fund (4607-53 Street Camrose, AB T4V 1Y5), or to the charity of your choice.
