Stella REYNOLDS

REYNOLDS Stella Margret Reynolds was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba to parents Bert and Morvyth James. She was the youngest of three sisters. While working on her Bachelor of Arts degree at St. John's in Winnipeg, she met the love of her life, Tom Reynolds. They married in Winnipeg in 1952 and cherished 55 years together. Stella and Tom lived in Edmonton, Vancouver and Penticton eventually settling in Red Deer in the early sixties. In 1958 and 1960 she was blessed with two sons, Bruce and Martin. Stella worked at the Red Deer College Library for many years until her retirement in 1994. Stella was well known for her love of reading. Together Stella and Tom enjoyed world traveling and summers at their cabin at Sylvan Lake. During retirement they spent winters in Helmet, California until medical problems restricted them. Stella passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, after months of dealing with heart problems. Stella was a wonderful wife, mother, neighbor and friend, and will be greatly missed. She leaves to mourn her passing, her loving husband Tom, sister Sheila Haxby of Winnipeg, son Bruce and his daughter Haley and her mother Teresa, son Martin (Jane), and their children, Tyler, Rachel and Travis. At Stella's request a private family service will be held. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium.
