After a valiant battle with cancer, it is with heavy hearts that the family of Stephen John Ranger announce his passing on Monday July 3, 2017, surrounded by loved ones. He leaves to mourn, his mother Mary Ranger; sisters Janice (Jim), Karen (Dave), Kathy (Doug); brother Ron (Karen); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. He was predeceased by his father Joseph Ranger and infant sister Janet.
A plumber by trade, and a comic book connoisseur, Stephen will be forever remembered for his love of music and farming, his quick wit, storytelling and free spirit. Our family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and staff for their loving care, support, and offer of hope. Following a private graveside service, all of our family and friends are invited to a celebration of life to be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home, 6150 - 67th Street, Red Deer on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 4730 Ross St, Red Deer AB T4N 1X2.
