TERNES 1921 - 2007 Mrs. Benita Ruth "Benny" Ternes of Red Deer, passed away at the Valley Park Manor Nursing Home, Red Deer on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at the age of 85 years. Benny was born on December 17, 1921 at Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Benny was a lovely, gracious and grand old lady who displayed nothing but loving kindness to all she knew. She was a woman of infinite wisdom and forever "The Teacher" within. Benny taught school from a one room schoolhouse at Victory School in Smiley, Saskatchewan and continued her teachings right through to her grandchildren. She was a very gentle natured lady whose endearing heart and goodness made her a friend to all. Benny will be very sadly missed but lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of her many dear friends. Benny leaves to mourn her loss, her sons, Kurt Ternes of Red Deer and Ken (Pat) Ternes of Leduc, Alberta, four grandchildren, Tom, Cristy, Thomas and Tanis and two great granddaughters, Mya and Neleah. She will also be sadly missed by her sister, Loretta "Chris" (Peter) Noakes, as well as numerous other family members and friends. Benny was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jack, a brother, Henry Kerschtien and three Sisters, Emma Beck, Edna Cowan and Mary Kerschtien. A Public Celebration of Benny's Life will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 - 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
