SHOEMAKER, Terry It is with much grief and sadness that the Shoemaker family announces the recent tragic and untimely passing of their loved one, Terrance Gordon Shoemaker. Terry died suddenly at his home in Edmonton at the age of 46 years on Wednesday, December 14, 2005. Terry was born March 11, 1959 in High River, Alberta. The family later moved to Red Deer to raise their family. Terry attended all his schooling in Red Deer and graduated from Lindsay Thurber in 1978. During Terry's teen years he was an avid hockey and shinny player. Terry later went on to work for Bruin's Plumbing and attended courses at Red Deer College. He received his Journeyman in Pipefitting. He then joined the Pipefitters Union, Local 488 in Edmonton. Terry was an excellent provider for his family and had a very strong work ethic. He had a very successful career in the Pipefitting Industry, working in various locations in Alberta until his passing. Terry was a devoted and loving father to his only child, Konner Terrance Shoemaker age 11. Terry was a giving, fun-loving and out-going person who could always be counted on to bring on laughter with his sense of humor. Everyone enjoyed many good times when Terry was present. He always made time for his large family and many friends and never missed a family or social gathering. Terry liked to always be doing something or working on a project. He and his Dad put in many hours together working on Terry's family home in Edmonton. He also enjoyed numerous outdoor activities such as skiing, sledding with friends, quadding with his friend Rick Price & cousin Trevor Stanvick, hunting with his friend Rob Hunter, camping trips with his family, parents and relatives, fishing with his Dad and taking Konner to watch sporting events. Our dearest Terry will be deeply and sadly missed but lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of his family, many good friends and co-workers. Terry leaves to mourn his family including his parent's Gordon and Marlene Shoemaker, his older brother Perry Shoemaker (Misty Valstar), and Perry's son Greg Shoemaker, sister Pamela Martin, her husband Neil and their two daughters Anna-Marie and Stephanie and his younger brother Trent Shoemaker and his son Tanner all residing in Red Deer. Terry is also survived by Pam and their son Konner and the Pokorski family all in Edmonton. Terry also had numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him deeply. Terry was predeceased by his Grandparents Charles and Annie Shoemaker and Charles and Marie Ziegler and nephew Grant Shoemaker. A heart felt thank you to our family members and friends for their love and support during this difficult time. A special mention to Terry's sister Pamela and her family where Terry spent much time and knew there was a good meal and a bed waiting when he came to visit. Anna-Marie and Stephanie will always miss their uncle so very much. Terry was cremated and rests at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Edmonton where a Memorial Service was held on Saturday, December 17.
