THACKER, Mr. Walter (Wally) Leon Thacker passed away Monday, September 12th, 2005 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 52 years. He was born in Stettler, Alberta on January 16th, 1953. Wally leaves to mourn and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Debbie and his girls, Sarah and Julie Stark. Wally is also survived by his parents, Leon (Lydia) Thacker, one sister, Val Cotter, two nieces, Gloria and Marina Thacker and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Gary Thacker in 1982. Many of his family and friends will remember Wally working with Flint Construction and Northside Construction on various jobs as well as with the City of Red Deer. Wally was a handsome good hearted man, with a strong independent stride, and he will be sadly missed by all. Psalm 116:15 "Precious is the sight of the Lord in the death of his Saints." Wally, you were precious to us in life, now you are precious to him in death. Be at Peace. Funeral Services for the late Mr. Wally Thacker will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 - 67A Street, Red Deer, AB on Saturday, September 17th, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Ron Mayan officiating.
