Mr. Thomas (Tom) Wilfred Bateman passed away at Foothills Hospital from complications following heart surgery. He enjoyed a good life and was a proud member and Business Agent of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 362. Tom loved all sports, especially hockey, and enjoyed a good crib or poker game. He especially liked boating with his children and grandchildren at Windermere and Sylvan Lake. The kids will always remember watching for satellites while at the firepit. Tom will be sadly missed by his wife, Carole; their children Kevin, Ernie, Kelly, Randy, Darryl, and Nicole; family friend, Heather; and sisters Heather and Anita. Papa will be greatly missed by his beloved grandchildren Brad, Kristen, Melissa, Ashley, Korissa, Mechele, Jocelyn, Justine and great grandchildren Damian and Angel. Tom will also be missed by the many friends and colleagues he has known over the years. At Tom's request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 1825 Park Rd., S.E., Calgary, Alberta T2G 3Y6.
