STEEVES Tom Steeves was called home to be with his Lord Sept 2, 2005. He passed away quietly at home in the arms of his family. Tom was born in Three Hills, AB on Jan 27, 1957. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend Cheryl, and his children Joel, Janell, Danny & Mitch. We will miss his playful child-like spirit and sense of humor, and will always marvel at his steadfastness, and his strength in the Lord. His memory will also be cherished by his mother Helen Steeves, sisters Linda (Doug Cust) & Jenny (Rob Brunner) and his brother Jeff (Leigh) and their families, as well as his mother and father in-law, Al and Margaret Yost, brother in-laws Dale Yost, Glen Yost (Barb) and sister-in-law Dianne Reid (Cyril) and extended families. Tom was predeceased by his father, Pat Steeves. Tom grew up in Red Deer and after high school he started his plumbing career with Bruin's where he was employed for 21 years. In 1997 he ventured out on his own and began Steeves' Plumbing and Heating. He was very well respected in the trade's community. Tom began his walk with Jesus Christ in 1976 and since then has never looked back. He bestowed his love for the Lord through his gift of music, which he expressed by singing and playing his guitar. He also extended that same love towards his family, friends, co-workers and church family. His absence will forever be felt by all the lives he touched. A celebration of Tom's life will be held at Crossroads Church on Tuesday, Sept 6th at 1:30 pm.
