Violet GLOVER

GLOVER Violet Marion (nee MacKenzie) 1926 – 2006 Violet Marion Glover passed away peacefully on June 15, 2006. Born July 10, 1926 in Saltcoats, SK. and raised in Carlea, SK then joined the Air Force in 1943. In 1947 she moved to Vancouver, to complete her RNdiploma. She and Gordon Glover were married July 7, 1951 and resided in Woss Lake, B.C until 1987 when they moved to Union Bay, B.C. In 2004, Vi moved to Lacombe, AB until her passing. Violet is mother to: Charlotte (Jeff) Krauser, Nancy (Jim) Knievel, Susan Glover, Gwen Glover, Bette (Dwayne) Axani, Annie Glover (Paul Berthelet), Bob (Carrie) Glover, Gordon Glover, Ed (Fiona) Glover, 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Vi also leaves to mourn her loss, brother, Dick (Joy) MacKenzie and sisters Esther Haberman, Jean (Duncan) Reid, Margaret Adams and Sandy McLean. Vi was predeceased by her husband Gordon Glover, her brother Sandy MacKenzie, sister Mary Harper, son-in-law Robert Noonan. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff and volunteers of Royal Oak Manor, AHP – Chinook House, and Rimbey Continuing Care, for offering our mother such loving care. A service to celebrate Violet’s life will be held in Courtenay, B.C. on Saturday, June 24th. If so desired, memorial tributes may be made to the Parkinson’s Society www.parkinson.bc.ca .
