Vivian BUNCH

BUNCH, Vivian Eleanor Mrs. Vivian Eleanor Bunch (nee Haapala) of Alhambra, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 20, 2004 at the age of 76 years. Vivian was born on April 6, 1928 at Manyberries, Alberta. She spent her early years in Manyberries and moved with her family to the Eckville area in 1941. Vivian married Walter Harvey Bunch on May 1, 1946. Vivian's Christian faith was always very important and precious to her. She always thought her biggest accomplishment was raising her family. The fondest memories were of her and Walter's retirement years traveling in their motorhome. After Walter's passing on February 2, 1992, Vivian moved from the town of Eckville to Rocky Mountain House and then settled in Alhambra in June 2004. Vivian leaves to mourn her loss, her ten children; Cheryl (Tony) Schafer of Sylvan Lake, Joyce (Gary) Mah of Red Deer, Vern (Elva) Bunch of Stony Plain, Janice (Gary) Dietrich of Rocky Mountain House, Judy (Ron) Marcinek of Condor, Wanda Peterson of Alhambra, Gerald (Laurie) Bunch of Valleyview, Sandra (Shannon) Prosser of Withrow, Dwayne (Shelagh) Bunch of Rocky Mountain House and Don (Arlene) Bunch of Leslieville; twenty-seven grandchildren, three step grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and six step great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Wilfred (Estelle) Haapala of Dunblane, Saskatchewan, Vernon Haapala of Rocky Mountain House, three sisters, Pearl Kangas of Outlook, Saskatchewan, Grace Cove of Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Dorothy Simonson of Outlook, Saskatchewan, sisters-in-law, Virginia Haapala of Menahga, Minnesota and Elsie Haapala of Outlook, Saskatchewan, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Vivian was predeceased by her husband, Walter in 1992, her parents, Matti and Anna Haapala, brothers, Reino, George, Arnie and Albert and sisters, Esther Salminen, Dora Ross and Miriam Maki. Relatives and friends are invited to come and pay their respects one hour prior to the Funeral Service. A Funeral Service will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapels, 4820 - 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, December 23, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Red Deer Cemetery, Red Deer, Alberta.
