DARLING Wendy April 3, 1953 - July 28, 2007 Wendy Darling of Gleniffer Lake, Alberta and Parker, Arizona passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on July 28, 2007 at the age of 54 years following a courageous battle with cancer. Wendy was born in Red Deer. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her bright beautiful smile, generous spirit and for her love of family. Her personal strength and her readiness to support others are among her numerous qualities. Wendy took all her schooling in Red Deer. Her most favorite jobs in life were at the Spruce View Kindergarten, grocery manager at Spruce View Co-op and Executive Assistant at Innisfail Co-op. Wendy and Dave retired in January 2004 to winter in Arizona. In their short retirement Wendy got to hike the Grand Canyon, boat Lake Powell, offroad Moab Utah, cheer Jeff Gordon at the Nascar races and make many good friends at Verde West Park in Arizona. Wendy leaves to mourn her loss, her best friend, lover and husband of 35 years David, her daughter Kim Belenky (Chad), her son Josh (Alaina), four very special grandchildren Brianne, Kate, Grace and William. 3 brothers Gordon, Larry, and Jeff, 2 sisters Kathy and Linda. 3 brother in-laws, Don, Bill and Larry, sister in-law Dixie. Wendy was predeceased by her parents George and Ruth Parker and in-laws Bill and Elsie Darling. A celebration of Wendy's life will be held at Red Deer Legion, 2810 Bremner Ave, Branch No. 35, Thursday Aug. 2, at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Wendy's honour can be made to the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 Arnot Ave, Red Deer, Alberta T4R 3S6
