WELLER Wilbur Roman Wilbur passed away on February 12, 2008 at Innisfail Rosefield Center at the age of 87 years. Wilbur was born on May 2, 1920 on the family farm near Heisler, AB. He met his wife Rita of the area and they were married on April 7, 1947. Wilbur was an elevator agent and worked in many small towns. Wilbur and Rita moved to Innisfail in 1965 where Wilbur worked for the Alberta Wheat Pool until 1978. He then worked for Newman Ford until 1985. They raised two daughters, Kathy and Cindy. In his retirement years, Wilbur took great pleasure in golfing 18 holes every morning and having coffee with his buddies. Wilbur was predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Amelia Weller, two infant sisters, and sisters Bernadine, Frieda, Dorothy, and Cecelia and four brothers-in –law. Wilbur is lovingly remembered by his wife of sixty years, Rita, his children Kathy (Eldon) Samson of Trochu and Cindy (Art) Shadbolt of Red Deer and four grandchildren, Heather & Brett Samson, Avarie & Christopher Shadbolt. He is also survived by one brother Ralph (Rose), and four sisters Mary, Rita, Lorraine, and Teresa (Maurice) and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 4304 49 Ave. Innisfail on Monday February 18, 2008 at 11:00 am. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Innisfail Rosefield Center or Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
