William COOPER

COOPER, William Mr. William Edward Cooper, beloved husband of Mrs. Ethel Cooper of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday, December 30, 2004 at the age of 87 years. William was born on July 4, 1917 at Hughendon, Alberta and grew up in the Castor area on the farm. He met and married his wife, Ethel in 1939. The couple moved to Red Deer in 1949. William farmed at Red Deer and raised cattle. He then started Cooper Roofing in 1966, which is still going strong today. He played in a Rhythm Band for numerous years with his sons, Glenn and Don, Frank Pavlick and John Bourne. William will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered and cherished in the hearts of his family and dear friends. William leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife of sixty-five years, Ethel of Red Deer, his son, Glenn (Paulette) Cooper of Post Falls, Idaho, daughter Marilyn (Brad) Whitehead of Nanaimo, British Columbia and son, Don Cooper, also of Red Deer, his grandchildren; Craig and Brett Whitehead, Glenn Jr. and Aaron Cooper, Chad and Amy Cooper, and his great grandchildren; Rachael, Hanna, Sara, Samuel, Jake and Emma. He will also be sadly missed by his sisters, Lois, Merle and Joyce, and his brother, Ken. At William's request no Funeral Service will be held. Cremation has been entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
