GIRLING William (Bill) Alexander On October 14, 2007 Mr. Bill Girling of Ponoka passed away at the age of 79 years. Bill is remembered by his loving wife of 59 years, Irene Girling; son Mark (Karen); daughters Sandra (Abby) Gamble and Brenda Girling; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Eunice Girling of Minnedosa, Manitoba, Hazel Williams of Calgary and Ada Ashton of Ponoka; brother in law Marvin (Mary Ellen) Ashton of Houston, Texas; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Bill was predeceased by his son Wayne; his parents Kelly & Mary Girling; brother Keith; father-in-law and mother-in-law Gerald & Louisa Ashton; and brothers-in-law Gordon Ashton and Phil Williams. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at the Ponoka Funeral Home (5115-50th Avenue, Ponoka) with the Interment Service following at Forest Home Cemetery. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta or the Alberta Lung Association.
