JEWELL William "Bud" 1934 – 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of William "Bud" Jewell of Elnora announce his passing after a long and valiant battle with cancer on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Three Hills. Bud, the second son of Alton and Ella Jewell, was born on May 30, 1934. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ellen; four sons, Delbert (Marlene) of Mirror, Bill (Lorrie) and Jim (Chickee) of Elnora and Ken (Brenda) of Swalwell as well as thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Bud is also survived by two brothers, Bob (Doreen) of Delburne, and Don (Rose) of Pine Lake. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Danny and a grandson Jerry. Bud's life work was spent building and maintaining roads in Alberta with many years with Lacombe County and Alberta Transportation out of Trochu. Bud passed on his love of hunting and fishing to his sons, daughters-in-law, and grand- children. With Bud his "Tall Tales" were mainly true adventures. His sense of humour was renowned and held true to the end. A Celebration of Bud's life will be held at the Elnora Community Center, Elnora, Alberta on Monday, July 9th at 2:00 pm.
