Yet another business leaves the downtown, but like others before it, it means nothing to city hall.

With its ongoing failure to clean up the downtown and make going downtown a pleasant experience, the City of Red Deer expends little effort, like having a daily cleanup truck going around the downtown to pick garbage up from the homeless and drug addicts from the night before.

It is, at best, a futile effort.

The real winner is Red Deer County, with its growing retail and professional services relocating from the city.

When you need to hire security to patrol your parking lot, this shows a major problem with being downtown in Red Deer. Besides the panhandling that also occurs.
