April Wine to play Red Deer on April 2
A rock band that was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2009 will perform in Red Deer on April 2.
April Wine, now in its 42nd year of performing, will be at the Red Deer Memorial Centre. The band received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009 to add to its list of accomplishments.
Tickets go on sale Friday at Ticket Central or online at www.ticketcentraloutlet.ca.
April Wine is performing in Red Deer as part of its Alberta Tour.
Fans will get a chance to hear songs including: You Could Have Been a Lady, Bad Side of the Moon Tonight is a Wonderful Time to Fall in Love, Roller, You Won’t Dance With Me, Like a Lover, Like a Song and Just Between You and I.
April Wine has recorded 15 studio albums, three live albums, numerous compilations, a special boxed set and has performed several thousand concerts in Canada and the world.
The band was born in the Maritimes in 1969 with two brothers and their cousin and Myles Goodwyn. Goodwyn is the only original member who remains with the four-man band.
