Hollingsworth heads for bronze

Canada’s Melissa Hollingsworth races to the third place, during a Skeleton Women’s World Cup race in Cesana Pariol, Italy, Friday.

The 29-year-old was a little disappointed with the result.

“I was sliding so well in training and I didn’t perform today to my potential,” said Hollingsworth.

“For me I felt like it was a bad day, but it is still a medal and I believe that is a good thing. How can I not be happy with it?” Olympic silver medallist Shelley Rudman of Britain won in 1:57.46, leading both heats. She holds a two-point lead over Hollingsworth in the World Cup standings.
