Mitch Irvine of the Red Deer College Kings black team blasts a kill past a Canadian Mennonite University Blazer during the Service Plus Inns and Suites Challenge Cup tournament on Friday at RDC. The 16-team, two-day exhibition tournament is a tuneup for the Kings before their regular season starts on Oct. 23 and 24 against Lethbridge Community College in Lethbridge. The team’s home opener goes Friday, Oct. 30 against Medicine Hat College with the Queens playing at 6 p.m., followed by the Kings at 8 p.m.
